Increasingly, he also has become an activist for urgent action on behalf of the planet. Kevin Roosevelt Moore \u2014 <\/span><b>Keb\u2019 Mo\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 returns to Eugene with his band this week, which is sold out, and there is much on his mind. He recently teamed up with the Plastic Pollution Coalition for a music video (\u201cLouder\u201d), which was launched on March 25 and can be seen on YouTube. It\u2019s his call for activism regarding climate change. He explained to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NPR Weekend Edition<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that \u201cAt one time, I was part of a new generation,\u201d a reference to sounding the alarm about polluted oceans, nuclear arms and nuclear power plants as well as the Vietnam war. \u201cAnd then we became the old generation, and we didn\u2019t do anything, you know? So I\u2019m just kind of calling us out \u2014 calling everybody out, so to speak, kind of apologizing to the new generation.\u201d Keb\u2019 Mo\u2019 is in Eugene to promote his new album <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good to Be<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which came out early this year and immediately reached No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Album Charts.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Keb\u2019 Mo\u2019 Band performs at The Shedd\u2019s Jaqua Concert Hall 7:30 pm Thursday, March 31.
